Manahawkin Leaf Removal Services, a DBA of Swell Ventures LLC, operates a lead-referral service. You tell us what leaf or yard work you need; we pass your request to independent local contractors who may contact you with a quote. Using this website means you agree to these terms.
We are not the contractor
This is the most important thing to understand. We do not perform any work. We do not employ, supervise, direct, schedule, price, inspect, or guarantee the work of any crew. Crews are independent businesses. When you hire one, you are contracting directly with that business — not with us.
We require every crew to show us proof of general liability insurance before we send them a single job, and we re-check it when it expires. We also require crews doing work that needs New Jersey contractor registration to provide their registration number. That verification is real and we take it seriously — but it is not a guarantee of the quality, safety, timeliness, or outcome of any crew's work.
Free to homeowners
Requesting quotes is free. We are paid by crews for referrals, not by you. You pay the crew you hire directly, on whatever terms the two of you agree to. We are not party to that agreement, we do not handle those payments, and we do not set those prices.
What you agree to
- The information you give us is accurate and you are authorized to request work at the address you provide.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- We and the crews we match you with may contact you by phone, text, or email about your request.
- You will not use this service to submit false requests or to harass anyone.
Choosing a crew is your decision
We encourage you to do what you would do with any contractor: get the quote in writing, ask questions, confirm what is and isn't included, and make sure you're comfortable before work begins. You are free to hire any crew we introduce, or none of them.
Disputes with a crew
If something goes wrong with a job, your agreement is with the crew, so they are the right place to start. That said, we want to know — tell us what happened. We track crew performance, and crews that treat homeowners poorly lose access to our referrals. We can't adjudicate disputes or compensate you for a crew's work, but your feedback directly affects who we keep sending business to.
Limits of our responsibility
We provide this referral service "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by New Jersey law, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, damage, delays, injuries, or conduct of any crew, or for any dispute between you and a crew. Because our service is free to homeowners, our total liability to you for any claim relating to this service is limited to $100.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Availability
We do our best to match every request, but we cannot guarantee that a crew will be available in your area, at your preferred time, or at any particular price. Leaf season is busy and crews book up.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The date below shows when they were last revised.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Ocean County, New Jersey.
