When curbside pickup makes sense

- Your pile breaks the rules. Townships often reject piles with branches mixed in, piles blocking storm drains, or loose leaves where bags are required. A private pickup takes it all, no sorting sermon included.
- Selling or hosting. Real-estate photos and Thanksgiving driveways both look better without a leaf mountain out front.
How to stage your pile for the cheapest quote
Crews price partly on how easy the load-out is. Three quick wins: pile leaves within a few feet of the curb or driveway edge; keep branches, pumpkins, and trash out of the pile; and don't pile against mailboxes, hydrants, or over storm drains (that last one can also violate township ordinance — clogged drains cause the street flooding this area knows too well).

No — most crews take loose piles, bagged leaves, or both. Mention which you have on the request form so quotes are accurate.
Can you take branches and sticks too?
Often yes for an added charge, since brush is disposed of differently than leaves. Note it on your request and crews will include it in the quote.
